Passport Photos Done Right the First Time

U.S. and Canadian passport images that meet official government requirements — professionally lit, properly sized, and ready for submission. Fast turnaround, zero guesswork, no rejections.

Skip the Guesswork. Skip the Rejection.

Your passport photo must meet strict biometric standards. Improper lighting, incorrect sizing, shadows, or even the wrong expression can result in denial.

When you hire a professional, you’re not just paying for a photo — you’re paying for accuracy, compliance, and peace of mind.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if my passport photo gets rejected?

I follow current U.S. and Canadian government requirements for sizing, lighting, background, and head positioning. My goal is to get it right the first time so you don’t experience delays.

If for any reason your photo is rejected due to a compliance issue, contact me right away and we’ll make it right. Your travel plans matter, and I take that seriously.

Can I wear makeup, jewelry, or glasses?

You’re welcome to wear natural makeup and simple jewelry. However:

-Glasses are not permitted in U.S. passport photos (unless medically necessary with documentation).

-Hats, head coverings, and large accessories are not allowed unless for religious or medical reasons.

-Expressions must be neutral (no big smiles).

If you’re unsure about something, bring options. I’ll guide you so your image meets official requirements.

Do you photograph babies and children for passports?

Yes — and this is where working with a professional truly makes a difference.

Infant and child passport photos must still meet strict government requirements. That means:

-Eyes open (for U.S. requirements)

-No hands visible

-No shadows

-Proper head positioning and scale

Babies can’t hold their own heads, toddlers won’t sit still — I’m patient and experienced in working quickly and safely to capture a compliant image. It may take a few extra minutes, but we’ll get it.

What should I wear for my passport photo?

Keep it simple.

-Solid colors work best

-Avoid white (background is white for U.S.)

-Avoid busy patterns

-No uniforms

-No hats or head coverings (unless religious or medical)

Your passport photo will be with you for up to 10 years. Choose something neutral and timeless. If you’re unsure, I’m happy to guide you.

How long does it take?

Most passport photo appointments take about 5–10 minutes.

We photograph, review for compliance, properly size and crop the image. If you need a digital file for an online renewal, that can also be prepared.

Quick, efficient, and done correctly.

Do Canadian passport photos require anything special?

Yes. Canadian passport photos have different size requirements than U.S. photos (50mm x 70mm), and they require precise head height measurements.

Printed Canadian passport photos may also require a photographer stamp and studio information on the back, depending on submission type.

We ensure your photo meets current Government of Canada specifications so your application moves forward smoothly.

Do you offer digital copies or just printed photos?

I provide properly sized printed passport photos ready for submission.

Digital copies may be available depending on your application type (some online renewals require a specific digital format). If you need a digital file, let me know in advance so I can prepare it to the correct specifications.
